Living coral who? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good color trend report as much as the next girl, but a single color to define the entire year? Give me a break. The problem with a lone color of the year is that it just doesn’t work for everyone. For me, coral represents my entire early college era. I thought it was the end all and be all of colors. Skirts; check. Blouses; check. Lipstick; triple check. I’m still trying to cure my coral hangover.
And that’s why I’m so excited about the waves of red bags crashing onto the scene. Thank goodness the coral craze isn’t coming over the fashion horizon just yet. It might not feel very traditional, but I really do think that there’s no better color for spring than red. It’s bright, matches just about everything, and can carry any theme (including my favorite warm weather outfit inspiration: prep on deck.) Classic colors are always en vogue.
